* This rate applies for SC certified teachers completing fewer than 12 hours per semester. Fall I and II together is considered one semester, Spring I and II together is considered one semester, and all summer sessions are considered one semester.

These fees and rates are subject to change and are effective as of July 1, 2017.

Special Fee Notification:

Students may be required to be proctored during online test completion. If students are unable to attend test proctoring sessions in person at the Distributed Learning office, additional fees may apply for online test proctoring if the course requires online testing.

Total tuition and fees only include tuition and the following fees for the program: a one-time, nonrefundable undergraduate application fee of $65 or graduate application fee of $50 for U.S. citizens and permanent residents, a graduate level technology fee of $17 per credit hour, a program fee of $75 per credit hour for the MHIT program, $80 per credit hour program fee for a resident MPH student, and a $110 per credit hour program fee for a non-resident MPH student, a one-time matriculation fee of $80, a $150 one-time background check and screening fee for RN to BSN and MSN program, and a $50 one-time nursing malpractice insurance fee for the MSN program. Other costs may be associated with the program, including textbooks.

Online tuition is due by 5 p.m. on published tuition deadline. If you are mailing a payment, it should be postmarked no later than 2 weeks prior to posted tuition deadline.

We recommend that you begin thinking about your financial aid needs and options during the initial admissions process to University of South Carolina. Please contact our financial aid staff for assistance.

Financial assistance may be available to you in the form of student loans. Students should allow up to 4-6 weeks for the financial aid process to be completed. If you have not received anticipated aid by the payment deadline, you are still responsible for paying for your course by the tuition deadline. Please plan accordingly.
